Intermezzo

So, I'm back from Vienna!  I have stories.  But I also have piles of laundry and jet lag is killing me worse here than it did when I got to EU - of course because I'm backwards and MY jet lag is worse going East to West- why?  I dunno, because I'm backwards.  That's all I've got.

BUT!  Just before we left, this happened:

Mike and Mom, Mother's Day 2014

Mike came over and made me Mothers Day breakfast and brought me a card and a gift!  SO GREAT.  That kid just makes my heart happy.  Ain't he handsome?

So I need to come back with a real post all about Vienna and how the people there are the fucking rudest people I have ever met (way worser than Paris) and how I walked 12 miles a day and still gained a coupla pounds, and pictures and a story about me almost being on an episode of Criminal Minds because I am stoopid, and also drama with Jeff's parents!  And drama with a coupla  ladies on the trip who are in their 60's but apparently Jr. Hi never leaves you.

So here is one more picture to keep you happy:
Sculpture from Upper Belvedere Palace, Vienna

  1. Glad(ys) you're back! Rest up by all means.
I am now at the age and stage of life where I look at men like Mike with the same response I have when viewing a beautiful sculpture (no, no, not that one from the Palace-the ones in Rome): Dee-AMMM!!
Can't wait to hear all about your adventures. Hey Gladys? Maybe you can be the Official ULB Traveling Gnome?!
About those old ladies aka Boomers Behaving Badly: Please, please I beg of everyone, don't believe for a second all of us in that generation are insipid, greedy, grasping, obnoxious, mean-girl child abusers. It's just that there's so MANY of us in this demographic, numerically there's likely to be MORE of those messes running around. I don't tolerate that crap and don't you either. They give me WIDE berth-if for no other reason I can out-rabid rabid when required.
    Good to see ya!

  2. Welcome back! You were missed. Mike is a good kid. I always gained weight when I had to travel for work--I think it's the different food, and one's body just doesn't know what to do with it, so it stores it all up as fat. --LuLoo.
