  2. Mon Dieu.
ANOTHER sicko "Mother" for whom the label is more important than the reality her "DD" is an autonomous, adult human being. We've got the whole "FOG" thing goin' on there, IMO.
Where did you find this, Gladys? Just curious.

  3. Hey TW! I posted the link at the top - it's from a site called "Passive Agressive Notes", it's a humor site but this thing just YELLED at me.

Notice the picture the mom used! Back when the unfortunately named Krystal Gale was still her dancing monkey. (Isn't a GALE a like, hurricane force wind?? Maybe she WAS aptly named!)

  5. "Ah! I see," said the blind TW ;)
Yeesch. Krystal Gale of the floor-length dark brown hair and "Don't it make My Brown Eyes Blue." What a Legacy THIS "Krystal Gayle" must have. Too bad she hasn't found us ULB's yet.
    She'd fit right in, eh?
Psychob paid for an advertisement in all the local rags in '94, 2 yrs. after my DH's death. I wasn't aware of it as it started in the "Announcement" Section on a Thurs., and a woman who was an acquaintance and worked at the grocery store where I shopped pointed it out to me on Fri. when I went grocery shopping after work. Psychob was "Looking for Anyone knowing the whereabouts of my daughter, TW. Call collect between the hours of (thus and such) on (these dates.)" I was absolutely horrified. I couldn't do a damn thing about it until Mon. when a buddy from the Probation Dep't. who knew the Editor of the local paper made a call for me and it was yanked.
By that time, the damage had been done. I had a high profile position in the community and I had clients coming in to my office saying, "Hey, TW did you know? Your MOTHER is looking for you" for weeks after. I just smiled and said, "It must be another TW because I talk to my mother at least once a week." Which was true, as I kept in close contact with my S/M.
But damn, Psychob was cultivating a whole community of "Flying Monkeys" with the "Collect Calls" so she could call anyone who may have contacted her repeatedly and at her convenience as she had their phone numbers. AND, she paid $$ for info, which was very enticing no doubt as this is an impoverished community. Concurrently, she also had the (very illegal) tap placed on my phone, unknown to me at the time. No doubt, she got off on my horror as I spoke to friends about this as they called and were very alarmed and of course had NO IDEA when I spoke of my "Mother" with whom I had a lovely and close relationship, I was referring to my S/M. Honey (my S/M) was "late coming into your life" as she expressed in a beautiful letter to me which I still have framed and hung in my BR. When I called her over that weekend and told her of this latest BS by Psychob she was horrified for me and very supportive.
Psychob must have LOVED the tapes of our conversations and my distraught and embarrassment over that ad she placed.
What a f'n cunt. Psychob is the ONLY woman about whom I've ever used that word; it's ugly and nasty but it "fits."

    1. Really?? I just read that Crystal Gale was Loretta Lyn's younger sibling.

      Connection?

    2. Crystal Gayle, sister to Loretta Lynn, was HUGE in the US in the late 70's early 80's. Our (poor beleagured) Krystal Gale was born in 1985 - making her the perfect age to relive her mother's obsession with country music by being named a CUTSEY POOTSY version of the name. *shudder*

  8. Notice in the pix the "DD" looks primped and primed for "Prime Time" bragging rights, courtesy of "Mummy-Dearest."
She needs to find us ULB's. I hope she does. Mon Dieu, there are SO many of us, no?

  9. Seriously, seriously creepy. "My, my, my", "But I wish....", "Me, me, me." It's always there, isn't it? The possessive nouns. The guilt-trips.

It's alarming how MANY of these parents exist!!! One is too many!!!

I agree - "My Shadow" is the WEIRDEST and most frightening part! Word choice here is incredible. Imagery just as striking. ("Shadow Children" would make a great title for an ACoN blog...!)
